White Horse Contractors, has helped Danes Hill Preparatory School in Surrey convert 12 acres of steep agricultural land into artificial and natural sports pitches.
As part of negotiations for a new lease arrangement with Crown Estates, the school secured an additional piece of land which was formally in agricultural use.
This was large enough to create five full-size, natural turf rugby/football pitches, a full size artificial sports pitch and two cricket pitches – doubling the sports facilities available at the school.
Prior to the successful development of the scheme, the school was unable to adequately provide suitable sports facilities, particularly for hockey.
